Transnistria. A country frozen in Soviet mid-20th century time. It's sovereignty is not recognized by the United Nations but is an autonomous area of Moldova where Russian presence and influence is very evident. In July, Anabaptist Teaching Ministries sponsored a women's Bible camp in northern Transnistria. Rose Yoder (PA) and Rosa King (Thailand) accompanied Pauline Yoder (IN) to the camp. Anabaptist Teaching Ministries conducted a Bible conference in cooperation with the Anabaptist International Ministry in Minsk, Poland on May 14-16, 2017. Philip and Linda Beiler traveled to Poland for this conference. Two different translators served as interpreters. Lavern Hershberger and his family have been in Poland for 16 years and he organized the event. Other personnel there are Shannon and Joella Lehman, Matt King, Lyndon Beiler, Sharon Speicher, and Wendy Yoder.
Mon. Jan. 2 Our trip to Haiti began in the wee hours of the morning. We met our group, James and Janet Shetler, Steven and Sharon Wagler, Doris Miller, and Vicky Nisly at Cedar Crest at 2:30 am with Phil Wagler who took us to the airport where we checked in and breezed though security with little problem. Our 5:00 am flight to Dallas was significantly delayed due to stormy weather there. Because of this delay we missed our flight to Miami. They booked us on a later flight, bu
To say that travelling to Australia is a long journey is not an overstatement. Not only did we step forward in time by 15 hours, we also somewhat lost track of the days. On the way to Australia we basically missed an entire day, and on the way back we experienced Thursday evening to Friday evening twice and at two different places. On June 3-5, 2016, Anabaptist Teaching Ministries conducted a weekend family conference in Minsk, Poland. The conference was held under the auspices of the Anabaptist International Ministries.
