Shining God's Light in Romania

Phil and Linda Beiler spent February 27 - March 6, 2019 in Calafat and Deva, Romania. This region of Romania is known for its spiritual darkness and strong occultism. Only about 1/3 of 1% is known to be Christian. Phil spoke at two churches in this area.

The first church was the Pentecostal Church in Calafat. Pastor Dan Creteanu has been working in this region for a number of years, and interpreted for Phil. The message was on Philippians 1:9-11, a passage the tells how the Apostle Paul is praying for the Philippians in 3 particular ways: that their love would abound, that they would approve things that are excellent, and that they would be sincere and without offense. There was an amazing response to the message and a revival was sparked that evening!

The second church was the Muntelele Sionului Pentecostal Church in Deva. Pastor Cristi Boariu had invited Phil and made all the arrangements. There was a total of five services, each with two messages. Most of the messages centered around topics on the family. The church already puts a lot of emphasis on children and families, so the messages were received warmly. There were typically 300 attendees, including lots of children and youth. The battle was intense, and Satan was strong, but the Living God was much stronger!

We praise God for the opportunity to partner with churches in the darkest part of Romania to assist in bringing the light of God!
